What is Papaya?

It's a simple, easy-to-use solution that helps restaurants and bars increase their table turnover and basket size, while providing a better experience for their customers.
What type of restaurants and bars can use Papaya?
Papaya works in any F&B establishment, and is most popular in sit-down environments where a lot of back-and-forth with the staff can be saved. It works especially well during peak hours when it eases the staff workload and allows tables to turn faster.

What if a customer wants to order offline?
No problem! We encourage restaurants and bars to inform their customers that they can always talk to the waitstaff, and that Papaya is for their convenience only if they want to use it. The web-app also includes a 'call' button so customers can call the waitstaff at any time if they have questions.
Do I have to use a digital menu?
A digital menu is required for customers who would like to order using Papaya. However, you can also offer customers a physical menu for offline ordering with waitstaff.
How long does it take to implement?
Papaya usually takes 2-3 days to process and approve new F&B partners, and once approved, setup only takes a few hours.
Do I have to allow reedemable Papaya credits at my restaurants?
No! Through the merchant portal, restaurants/bars choose if, when and how much they want to allow customers to redeem credits to boost their own business. We find it most effective to enable credit use during off-peak hours to fill empty tables but the decision is yours.
